Toddler Lesson

Well, today, I learned a lesson from my toddler.

Lesson 1: If a toddler pushes enough buttons on a cell phone, he will eventually delete all of your contacts in your phone.

Lesson Learned!

Friends and family: Please email me your phone numbers, so that I can put them back in my phone!

The Strawberry Farm

Today, we visited a Strawberry Farm where we could pick our own strawberries! Connor LOVES strawberries! When we first started, I handed one to him to put in the bucket, but he immediately bit into it! Yum, yum! He loved being outside and had a lot of fun, even though one of us had to chase him the whole time! Now we have strawberries to last for awhile!

More fun...

Aunt Christie and Cousin Mackenzie came to visit Connor while he was in LaGrange. Connor had SO much fun with Mackenzie. He played with her and chased her around the house. Mackenzie was SO good with Connor. She played with him and read him books! She is so smart...I hope Connor is even half as smart as her!

This is just a cute picture of Connor in his LC hat!

LaGrange College Baseball Game

Last Wednesday, we went to a LaGrange College baseball game. It was Senior Night, so Granddaddy had to be on the field before the game for the ceremony. I think everyone in the stadium heard Connor trying to get Granddaddy's attention! He wanted to be on the field with Granddaddy, not in the stands with Mommy and Sunshine. Oh well, Granddaddy eventually came back to him and he had a great time playing during the game. He loved clapping and wearing Granddaddy's hat.

This is Connor saying hat and showing us his hat!

First Carousel Ride and More

Connor had a chance to ride his first carousel on Sunday! He LOVED it! He giggled and smiled the whole time!

He also got to ride a train! He did not want to get off!

On Sunday, I went to a baby shower for my friend Deanna and got to see Deanna and our friend Valerie! It was so much fun to get together with old friends. We all three used to work at The Hartford together, but now, 2 1/2 years later, none of us work there and Deanna and I have both moved away. So, we rarely get together, but we love to when we have the chance!

And, here's just a cute picture of Connor in the tub!

One more thing...

One more random thing...
Connor has a mouth FULL of teeth! He has 16 teeth! I am hoping that he will not get his two year molars until he is two, but he's gotten the other 16 pretty quickly, so he may get them early too. But, I hope that I have the next 9 months free from any teething pain...oh, and I hope Connor has the next 9 months free from any teething pain, too! :)

Shoes = Outside

After bringing his shoes to Daddy to put on him and Daddy not putting them on him, Connor decided to take matters into his own hands!

When Connor figures out how to put his shoes on himself, I'll be in trouble! He'll expect to go outside all the time, whenever he wants!

Balls, Balls, Balls!

Does a 15 month old really need this many balls in one room of the house?!?! When I cleaned up tonight, I decided to count the number of balls in the den. Well, in case you are wondering, there are 33 balls in our den alone! There are probably an equal number scattered about in the bonus room, in our room, in Connor's room, outside, in the bathtub, and in the car!

Beautiful Day!

Today has been a beautiful day! We took a walk this morning and after lunch with daddy, we met a friend at the park and played there for awhile. Then, we headed outside again after nap. Connor LOVES to be outside and he brings me his shoes as his way of saying "Take me outside, now!" Here are a few pictures from our time outside.

And here is a picture of Connor when we came inside. He's not too happy and keeps trying to open the front door! Luckily, he hasn't figured that out yet!

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter Everyone!
Connor has had a great Easter! We found what the Easter Bunny brought him before we left for church and of course, he LOVED the baseball, basketball, football, and soccer ball shaped eggs in his basket. And, Daddy is reading his new book to him now (for about the 100th time)! After church, we were invited to our friend's Annette and Jordan's house to eat lunch. We stopped at home to change clothes, but we had to take some Easter pictures before we changed. Connor looked so cute in his blue linen pants, matching sweater vest, and brown "boat shoes"! He was the cutest baby in his Sunday School class (okay, I may be a little biased)! After an amazing lunch with new friends (and their precious daughter Lydia), we headed home. Connor took a twenty minute nap in the car and that's all he's getting for the day (his choice, not ours)! Connor and I spent awhile outside this afternoon swinging, sliding, playing ball, and hanging out on daddy's truck watching cars and trucks go down the road! He's had a GREAT Easter! We hope that all of you have too!

Black Eye and More

This is what Connor looked like a couple of weeks ago...

Connor fell down while trying to climb off the sofa and hit the coffee table. He got his first black eye from the incident! I have NEVER seen something swell or turn black so fast. I was sitting next to him and picked him up instantly, but his eye was swollen and black before I even picked him up. It looked awful! It has finally gone away for the most part, but it stayed black for about two weeks! Poor baby!

When I went to NYC, Mimi and Bobbles came to help Jeremy. I did not get many pictures before I left, so this is the only one I have of Connor and Bobbles, but I thought it was pretty cute! Sorry Mimi, we don't have any of you and Connor this time!

My parents came for a Connor-fix earlier this week. This picture was so cute of them playing with Connor on his new playset!

Jeremy's boss offered to sell his son's used playset to us a few weeks ago, so we got a GREAT playset for Connor for a GREAT deal! I love a deal! Bobbles and Jeremy put it together while I was in NYC. It is great and Connor loves it! For the most part, he can only swing and slide now, but he'll grow into it and enjoy it for MANY years to come. He LOVES it now and could swing and slide for hours! Thank you, Bobbles and Daddy!

Funny Connor Story: Yesterday, Connor and I were playing outside and I saw a caterpillar. I called Connor over and showed it to him. Of course, being the little boy that he is, he wanted to pick it up, so I let him. It took a minute for him to get a good hold of the wiggly caterpillar, but he finally did and he was being so gentle with him. But, then a truck drove by and he quickly dropped it and tried to chase the truck. He stepped on the poor caterpillar's back end as he tried to reach the truck! I chased after him and then went back to check on the caterpillar, but he was gone. I guess that's a good thing. Connor didn't damage him too much! But, from then on, Connor tried to pick up every stick and leaf on the ground thinking it was a caterpillar! He's such a little boy!

Craziest Thing

We saw one of the strangest things in New York that I've ever seen! On the first day there, we were walking down the street and a man was holding something up like he was selling something. As we got closer we heard what he was saying. He was saying, "Obama condoms. Get your Obama Condoms!"

Yep, that's right. People are now profitting off of Barack Obama 's image by selling "Obama Condoms." I can't imagine what it is...Is there a picture of Obama on it? Or as Jeremy put it, "Are they skinny and black with big ears?!"

Oh my!

New York City

My mom, my cousin (Jane Anne), and I went to New York City for four days last week. It was so much fun! We did a LOT of shopping, a little sight-seeing, and went to Mama Mia. We stayed in Times Square, ate at wonderful restaurants, and visited Good Morning America. We walked a lot, took taxis, and figured out the subway system! It was so much fun! Here are a few pictures from our adventures.

In Brooklyn, waiting in line at Grimaldi's Pizza...
Times Square...
We tried to go to Regis and Kelly, but they did not take anyone in the standby line that day, so we did not get in. But, while we waited in line, we stood in line with a couple whose parents had gotten in with tickets and the parents were from LaGrange! Small World! This was a close as we got to Regis! This is Regis walking from his apartment to the studio...
My Mom and me in Central Park...
My mom and me in front of Radio City Music Hall...
Jane Anne and I at Carmine's. It was the BEST restaurant! If you visit NYC, you need to eat there!
We were able to be in the studio audience at Good Morning America... With Robin Roberts...
With Sam Champion...

I can't wait to go back one day!
