A Few More Pictures

Another highlight of our week was a visit from Uncle Stan, one of Kyle's namesakes...

Sweet Baby...

We really enjoyed our first week at home. Jeremy was off Monday through Thursday, so it was probably the longest we have all been home together all day, every day in a LONG time...probably since Connor was born! Usually when Jeremy is off work, we're traveling to see family. It was nice to enjoy time together as a family of four! We were able to take Connor to the playground several times. Connor was able to receive extra attention from Jeremy. They were pretty inseparable this past week! Connor really enjoyed going to Lowe's with Daddy (to see the forklifts in Lowe's) and going to Uncle Steve's contruction site to see all of the equipment and trucks! I will really miss Jeremy being at home! He was so helpful to Connor, Kyle, and me!

My parents came on Thursday night to spend Friday with us since Jeremy was going back to work. I really appreciated their help that day! And, my mom is on her way here now to help out this week! Uncle Stan also came here on Thursday night to meet his new nephew. Connor had a great time playing ball with Granddaddy and Uncle Stan!

Kyle was able to meet one of his other namesakes, Uncle Steve. But, I forgot to take a picture, so I'll have to get one next time!

But, all in all, week one went great!

Meeting Mimi and Bobbles

One of the highlights of our week was having Mimi and Bobbles visit last Sunday. Mimi is in Atlanta for awhile helping with Gigi and Great-Granddaddy (Jeremy's Grandparents) during Great-Granddaddy's recovery from hip replacement surgery. So, they have not been able to come for an extended visit, but they were able to come on Sunday to spend several hours with their favorite two grandsons!

Don't they look content?!

Our First Week...

We had a great first week at home! We were able to come home on Saturday after only one night in the hospital. We had expected to stay two nights, but the doctor said that we could leave on Saturday morning. We were so excited to get home and sleep in our own bed! One night in the hospital is more than enough!

Pictures!

Our growing family...

Kyle and Sunshine and Granddaddy...

Kyle is named after two of his uncles. Kyle comes from my brother, Stanley Kyle Williamson. Stan's middle name, Kyle, is from our "Aunt Lou" and "Uncle John's" son, Kyle Clinkscales, that went missing in the mid-1970's. Kyle Clinkscales was born on October 2nd. Our Kyle didn't quite make it to the same birth date, but he will carry on the special name.
Kyle's middle name, Steven, is after Jeremy's Uncle Steve. Uncle Steve is my mother-in law, Mimi's brother. He has always been so good to Jeremy and his brothers and to all of our children. We so glad that Kyle can carry on his name.

Kyle Steven White

Kyle Steven White was born today, October 1, 2010 at 5:12 a.m. He weighs 7 pounds and 12 ounces and is 21 inches long. He is so perfect! And, I cannot wait to post pictures, but I left my camera cord in my car and we brought Jeremy's truck to the hospital. I will try to post pictures later tonight when my parents and Connor come back to visit again.

Last night, I started having contractions around 7:45. They were not painful, just more uncomfortable than anything, but they were about 10 minutes apart. They continued like that for the next few hours, so around 10 p.m., I called my parents to say I'm not sure if they should come or not. I wanted them there so that they could keep Connor if we had to go to the hospital during the night, but I didn't want them to make a wasted trip for uncomfortable contractions that might have quit at any time. They decided to come on to our house. They got in around 2 a.m.! I continued with the uncomfortable, but not really painful contractions for awhile and around midnight, they started getting a little more painful, but still, nothing serious, and still only about 10 minutes apart. I tried to sleep, but did not do much more than doze between contractions. Around 3, I woke Jeremy and told him what all was going on and the contractions suddenly went from 10 minutes to 5 minutes to 3 minutes! After timing for a little while, we started getting ready to head to the hospital and got on the way around 4:15. We got to the hospital around 4:45 a.m. and into our room around 4:50. They told me that I was already dialated to a seven and that my water had broken (I think that happened around 3 when the contractions increased so much). I was asking for the epidural, but I realized immediately that I needed to push! I pushed about five times and Kyle was out! A few minutes later, the doctor walked in the room! Kyle was delivered by a great nursing staff without an epidural, 22 minutes after arriving at the hospital room! And apparently, I was much further along than 7 cm when we arrived. The nurse told us later that I was way past 7 when she checked me at arrival, but they don't like to freak people out when they come in so close to pushing! I will definitely come to the hospital much faster next time...probably at the first contraction! But, I am so excited to have Kyle here and to have a healthy baby boy!

I will post pictures as soon as I can!
