Connor's Surgery

Connor had eye surgery on February 28th.  And, of course, I had to take a pre-surgery picture in his hospital gown!

The surgery was a success!  We can already see a big difference in his head tilt.  Actually, the day after the surgery, we went back for the one-day post-op visit and immediately saw a difference in his head tilt whent he doctor had him name letters on the screen.  He did not turn his head at all!

After surgery, Connor had a hard time coming out of the anesthesia, but once we got him home, he slept most of the day.  Once he woke up, he was starving and ate for about an hour and a half straight!  He had not eaten since dinner the night before becaue of the surgery and he never really woke up enough to eat until about 4:30.  For the next couple of days, he had some pain, mostly his forehead hurt, but Motrin and Tylenol seemed to treat it well.    His eyes were blood red for a few days, but each day seemed to get better and better.

He is now doing great!  His head tilt is gone and his eyes are not red anymore.  One eye still has a little swelling, but nothing much.  We will go back on Wednesday for his two week post-op.

Thank you for your prayers!
