Connor's Memory

I am amazed by Connor's memory.

Tonight, Connor said, "Mommy do you remember when you were big and fat and couldn't ride on the space shuttle at the park?"

That was almost 2 years ago when I was pregnant with Kyle and Connor was only 2 1/2!

A few weeks ago he mentioned going back to the place that we bought his Thomas the Train jibbitz for his crocs.   He wanted to go back to that place and get another and then he proceeded to tell me why we were there and who we were with (we were at Lenox Mall at the Crocs kiosk waiting in line to ride the Pink Pig with Mills and Andrew and Davis).  He was remembering something from about 16 months prior.

But, this newest memory is much older than that. It is from the summer before Kyle was born, so about 22 months ago!

It is amazing to me that he can remmber things from when he was 2 years old!

Our Busy Life

The last few weeks have been busy, but oh, so much fun!  Connor started Tee Ball a few weeks ago and we had has first game last Friday.  It was so much fun to watch.  Connor did great hitting the ball.  We have to work on the fielding some, but he is having a great time!  Saturday, he had picture day and a one inning practice exhibition game.  Hear are  few pictures from Saturday.  I have other pictures from Friday, but they are on my other camera, so I will upload them later!

And, the rest of these are just pictures from the last week.  I LOVE these two little boys so much!

Kyle is so happy most of the time.  He loves to play, especially with cars and trucks and trains.  He loves our train table.  He loves to play outside...actually, he just loves to be outside.  He is so content sitting in his stroller watching Connor's tee-ball games because he just loves to watch what is going on around him outside.  He is smiley and giggley.  He has started trying to say more words, but sometimes we have to translate from Kyle Language to English.  But, we're figuring it out.  He has started to say "Yes" and nod his head when you ask a question.  He loves to do this!  He already knew how to say "NO" so now he can answer questions when it is a yes or no answer.

Connor is so curious!  He asks so many question and wants to know why about EVERYTHING!  I know that his curiousness makes him so smart, but sometimes the assault of questions is overwhelming!  He has almost learned to count to 100.  He understands how to do it and can get to 49 without help.  But, at 50, he needs help remembering the number on the tens (50, 60, 70, 80, 90).  So, he counts to 49 and then asks what comes next.  I say 50, then he does 51-59.  Then, I tell him 60 and we go from there to 100.  He'll have the 50, 60, 70, 80, 90 down soon.  We are so proud of our Curious Connor!

Power of Moms Blog Post

Everybody on Facebook has been posting this blog post from Pwer of Moms and I read it today.   I Loved It!

I am not the most crafty person or the best baker or cook.  And, this reminded me that I don't have to be!  My kids just want me present!

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter Everyone!

We went to an Easter Egg Hunt at the town park yesterday.  I did not get many great shots, but here are a few pictures...

Easter Morning...

Happy Easter!

He is Risen!  He is Risen Indeed!

Spring Break

The boys and I headed out of town for Spring Break.  We spent several days in Huntsville with Jeremy's parents and the boys had a great time!  I am very blessed to have great inlaws.  Many of my friends do not have good relationships with their inlaws and would never willingly spend time with their inlaws without their husband around.  But, I am blessed with great inlaws!  They love our boys and they treat me like a daughter!  We had a blast in Huntsville playing with Mimi and Bobbles!

Below is Connor making pancakes with Bobbles.  Bobbles is SO extremely patient with each of the grandkids.  He even let Connor crack the egg even though it made a mess.  He helped Connor pour the pancakes and flip them.  Look how proud Connor looks!

Kyle loves to play Mimi's piano!  Future star?!

This is one of my absolute, all-time favorites of Kyle!

Mimi and Bobbles have a little room off of their bedroom that the kids take over as their playroom when they are in town.  They had so much fun in there!  Mimi kept all of Kevin, Jeremy, and Andy's Micro-Machine cars from when they were little and Connor always looks so forward to going to Mimi and Bobble's house to play with the little cars.  And, the cars did not disappoint.  He played with them for hours!

Fun times wit Bobbles...

And, fun times with Mimi...

And, more fun with the micro-machines!

One of the highlights of the visit was a visit by Harper and Evie and Aunt Lee.  They came up to Huntsville for the day on Sunday and the three big kids had so much fun (Kyle slept through part of it).  They especially enjoyed making cookies with Mimi.

My boys love to read books and had Mimi and Bobbles read dozens of books every day!

On our last full day there, we headed to a playground.

And, this is a new all-time favorite of Connor!

On the way home, we spent one night in LaGrange and then we went to Atlanta to spend a couple of hours with Gigi.  We met one of Gigi's new helpers that stays with her during the day.  She was wonderful and Kyle loved her!

Overall, we had a great time on our Spring Break trip!  Kyle did end up with a small touch of the stomach virus on our last evening in Huntsville, but it did not slow him down at all.  We got back home in time to spend Easter weekend with Daddy.

Here's one more cute picture of Kyle...
