This past weekend, Jeremy went with our church's middle school group to a weekend camp. The boys and I headed to LaGrange for the weekend to see Sunshine and Granddaddy one last time before Granddaddy has knee replacement surgery (tomorrow, 6/26).
One Friday afternoon they "helped" Granddaddy to water the flowers. They each had a watering bucket and I think they ended up with more water on them than the flowers did, but it was a lot o fun for them!
"Fill it up, Granddaddy!"
Now for a drink of water...

T-Ball ended a few weeks ago and Connor had a great season! He really loved it and he told me recently that he likes being on a team.
We had a t-ball end of year party a few weeks ago. He was SO excited to receive his trophy! Just look at the smile on his face!
We headed to Birmingham this past weekend to celebrate Harper and Evie's birthdays and to meet Baby Millie! It was so much fun! The kids had a great time and it was great to see so much family. It was a quick trip and made me wish so much that we lived closer to Kevin and Lee and their girls. I love where we live, but I wish that our kids could grow up with their cousins. They have so much fun together! Here are a few (actually, a lot of) pictures from the weekend.
Sweet Millie! She was so good. I don't think I ever heard her really fuss.
One of the Birthday Girls! Harper will be 7 next month, so we celebrated her Birthday with Evie this weekend. Harper just lost her fourth tooth on Friday!
The other Birthday Girl! Evie turned 4 last month.
Kyle was fascinated with Baby Millie's hair. He kept touching it so carefully! Then, he started to bring her stuffed animals. It was so sweet!
This picture was taken as they were about to blow out the candles on their cake. Poor Harper had just had a fall where she hit her chin on a table. As soon as everyone had cake and ice cream and the kids busted open the pinata, Kevin had to take her to the ER to get some stitches. She got 3 stitches and was so brave! Unfortunately, by bedtime, those three had popped out and she had to go back to the ER and get five more stitches! She had a very eventful birthday party, but she was such a trooper for the whole thing. She is one tough little girl!
This is what Millie did most of the day!
Millie and Mimi and Bobbles...
After the first set of stitches...
Connor surprised us by asking if he could hold Millie! He didn't want to hold Kyle for a long time after he was born and basically ignored him for months, so I did not expect either of them to be interested in Millie, but they were. Connor help Millie and Kyle climbed up on the couch to get a better view! I love this picture! After Connor was done holding her, Kyle got the boppy and put it around his waist. I think he was waiting on his turn! He will have to wait a little longer!
We had such a great time in Birmingham! The kids are still recovering from the weekend. They were exhausted last night and went to be early (Connor asked to go to bed). They both slept late (for them) this morning and they both took naps today!
We're looking forward to seeing the entire White Family at the end of July at the beach!

Tonight I was in the bonus room (off of our breakfast room) with Kyle and Jeremy and Connor were in the den. Kyle started getting into something that he wasn't supposed to be touching so I picked him up and tickled him and started saying, "What am I going to do with you? I'm going to throw you away!" I headed toward the kitchen and he was laughing so I opened the trash and kept saying, "Should I throw you in the trash!?" I was just being silly with him and he was just laughing, but Connor heard all of this from the den and came running yelling, "No, don't throw him away! No, Mommy! Don't!"
He was genuinely concerned that I was going to throw Kyle away! So, I let him know that I was just playing around with Kyle and being funny. Then, I asked him why I couldn't throw Kyle away and he said, "Because he's my only baby and I want my baby here with me!" So, I took it a little further to see what he would say and I asked him if I could throw him away if we had another baby and he said, "No! I want all of my babies to be here with me." So, after all of that, I reminded him that I had just been joking with Kyle and that Mommy and Daddy would NEVER really throw one of them away and that they would always have us and we would love them forever.
But, it was such a Proud Mommy Moment because Connor was so concerned for Kyle and so protective over him. He showed me how much he loves Kyle! They give each other kisses and hugs, especially at bedtime, but they don't express their feelings most of the time (they are four and one and BOYS, so I'm not surprised by this!), so to hear his concern showed me that Connor truly does love Kyle and wants to protect him and wouldn't be happy without him!
I love those two boys so much!
Connor had been asking for a "safari hat" a lot recently. To him, a safari hat is a hat with a brim all the way around it. He found one last month at Target that he loved, but it was a little expensive for something I didn't think he would wear much, so I didn't get it. Last week, he found one at Crazy 8 and it was on sale. As you can see, it is not a safari hat (as we would think of a safari hat), but it is the hat he had been wanting. And, he LOVES it...and so does Kyle! I'm going to have to get one for Kyle soon because he loves to wear Connor's. Connor has worn it everywhere for the past week. I wouldn't let him wear it to church on Sunday morning, but he has worn it everywhere else! He get lots of compliments on it!
