Today was our annual pumpkin painting and carving day!  The boys painted their pumpkins, but were much more interested in the carving process than they have been in past years.  They both wanted to help dig out the guts of the pumpkin.  Kyle especially wanted to play with the guts.  They both got distracted during the actual carving process and spent most of that time on our playground, but they were very proud of Daddy's carving work!

And, this is what happens when a two year old doesn't take a nap and doesn't get his way for something!

So pitiful!
Other than this one incident, we had a great afternoon outside.  The weather was so nice.  It felt like fall, but it wasn't cold yet, just cool (the cold is coming tomorrow!).  And, the boys had so much fun outside all afternoon.  They were asleep tonight before 7:30!
Happy Halloween Week!

Wesley Pumpkin-Palooza

One of the local churches does a carnival the weekend before Halloween that we have been to each of the past several years.  It was today, so we headed there this morning.  It was great!  The kids had a great time. The lines were long though, so we didn't do the rides, but we did do the moonwalks, the slides, the inflatable obstacle course, the trunk-or-treat line, the decorate your own cookie table and the petting farm.  I think Kyle liked the petting farm the most and Connor loved the slide and the inflatable obstacle course.  Fun times for all!

And, the sno-cones were definite favorites, too!

Cookie!  Yum!

Kyle loves the petting farm!

Love these boys!

Disney on Ice

We took the boys to Disney on Ice last night!  It was a great show and so much fun for the boys!  Connor and Kyle both really liked it.  It was a little long for Kyle (about 2 hours long) and he got restless a couple of times, but overall, he did great.  The show was called "Worlds of Fantasy" and had Cars, The Little Mermaid, Tinkerbell, and Toy Story 3.  Kyle liked Rex the dinosaur from Toy Story the best.  I think Jeremy, Connor, and I all liked the Army Men from Toy Story 3 the best.
It was a fun family night out!

We went to the Augusta Touch-a-Truck today to get to see a cherry picker, a dump truck, a fire truck, a bomb squad truck (and the bomb robot!), and in Tow in Mater from Cars!  Okay, if you do not have kids, you might have no idea what I'm talking about, but Mater is a big deal to a four year old and a two year old, so we went to see him!  He was in town because Disney on Ice featuring Cars, Toy Story, and a couple of other themes is in town starting tomorrow and we're taking the boys tomorrow night!
Kyle was surpisingly scared of some of the trucks and Connor was not at all (it is usually the opposite).  But, they both loved it and we had to go back to see Mater a couple of times.

It was a fun afternoon and we're looking forward to another fun day tomorrow when we go to Disney on Ice!

On Monday, Connor played hookie from school and the boys and I headed to Atlanta to visit the "fishies" and sharks with Mimi.  The boys were so excited to see Mimi and were so excited to see the fish (or "fishies" as Kyle says).  They really had a great time!  We've been to the Georgia Aquarium two other times with Connor when he was 18 months and almost 3 (and Kyle was 2 months).  So, this was the first time for Kyle to actually enjoy it.  And, enjoy it they did!  It is such a fun place for every age.  I have such a great time just watching them and their reactions to things!  I think that the dolphins, sharks, and whales were the favorites of the day.  They also loved the areas that you could crawl through little tunnels.  Kyle could have spent all day doing that!
