Our Day - Publix

Well, I document almost everything else in our life in pictures, so I decided to take a couple of pictures of Kyle in Publix (since we spend way too many hours and dollars there)!
Don't worry, I didn't let my crazy photo-mom personality be seen by others.  I made sure we were on an aisle that was empty!
And, please ignore the post-cookie drool coming out of his mouth.

Funny Faces

This is Connor doing "Chubby Cheeks" to Kyle!  Poor Kyle, but he loves it!

We Belong in the Zoo!

Some days I feel like we live in a zoo.
So, last Tuesday, my friend Beth and I took our kids the zoo!

Kyle found a frog and was just as interested in it as he was in the giant elephant that was just behind him here!

One Last Roll

We headed to Auburn on Saturday for A-Day and the final rolling of the Toomer's Corner Oaks!  We joined over 84,000 people at the stadium!  And, then we headed to Toomer's.  But, since 84,000 people were also heading to Toomer's (plus all of the people that didn't go to the game and just came for the rolling), we did not get close to the oaks!  If we did not have the kids with us, I might have pushed my way through the crowds to get closer, but we did not try!  However, there was a tree in front of Langdon Hall that some kids started to roll, so we joined in on that rolling.  It worked out perfectly for our kids.  No huge crowd, a small tree, other young kids...perfect!  And, Connor loved it.  Kyle enjoyed it for awhile, but since it was nap time, not much could keep his attention for long.  However, Connor did not want to leave!  We did decide we would skip the ceremony part and head on to my favorite Mexican restaurant, Laredo's!  Laredo's is the only place I've ever been that has Taco de la Razas and they are my favorite!  Yum Yum!

I don't know why, but they were acting like monkeys here...

This is how Connor ended the day as we got back to our car.

This is how Kyle ended the day as we got back to the car!  He was worn out!
It was a fun day!
War...Eagle, fly down the field, Ever to conquer, never to yield.
War...Eagle fearless and true. Fight on, you orange and blue.
Go! Go! Go!
On to vic'try, strike up the band,
Give 'em hell, give 'em hell.
Stand up and yell, Hey! War...Eagle, win for Auburn,
Power of Dixie Land!

It's Masters Week in Augusta!

It is Masters Week in Augusta!  We spent Saturday and Sunday playing in the yard.  Jeremy pressure washed the deck on Saturday.  Then, we spent Sunday afternoon painting the rails and sealing/protecting the deck floor.  The boys spent a lot of time playing outside with dump trucks and bull dozers digging up dirt piles (just what boys are supposed to do, right!?).  They had such a great time.  I need to go find them some bigger construction toys for outside!

Note:  Connor promises that he is not picking his nose in this picture above.  He is just scratching his lip!

On Monday, the boys and I headed to LaGrange.  They were so excited to go see Sunshine and Granddaddy!  They had been looking forward to it for days.

On Tuesday, I returned to Augusta and the boys stayed in LaGrange with Sunshine and Granddaddy.  Jeremy and I had tickets to today's Practice Round at The Masters, so we were able to leave the boys with the grandparents for a couple of days so that we could go.
We were excited to get to spend the day at the Augusta National.  Jeremy had been once before, but I had never been.  And, today was the Par 3 Contest, which is a relaxed, fun, event for the Practice Rounds.  The players play a par 3 course for 9 holes and many use their kids, wives, and friends to caddie for them.  It was cute to see some really little kids walking around in the Masters white caddie jumpsuits!  Some of the golfers let their kids take a shot or put the ball at times.  It was laid back and fun to watch.  I enjoyed getting to walk around the main course this morning and see all of the famous holes that I've read about before.  And, the course was beautiful!  The azaleas were blooming perfectly!  And, the grass was so amazing!  Why doesn't our grass at our house look like that!?

This picture is of Phil Mickelson, Bubba Watson, and Jim Furyk.

My favorite group that we watched were Arnold Parmer, Jack Nicklaus, and Gary Player.  We had camped on the hill just below the tee box at the third hole and watched a lot of groups go through, but we knew that someone special was coming through soon as the crowds started to grow thicker!  Even I knew who these three were!

We had such a fun time today.  And, it was just so nice to do something special with Jeremy!
We hope to get to go again in the future.  So, friends with extra tickets or badges, call us!  :)
Overall, Masters Week has been so much fun!  I will meet my parents tomorrow to pick up the boys.  I've enjoyed having a couple of days with my favorite "big" guy, but I'm looking forward to seeing my "little" guys tomorrow!
Hope you are having a great week!
