After our LOA a few weeks ago, we submitted our I-800 application to the same department of the government. This application is to get approval for our son, Paxton, to be able to immigrate to the U.S. Late last week we found out that our I-800 was approved, but we had to wait for the approval to come in the mail. Today, it came in the mail! Yay! I have sent a copy of it to our agency and they will put it with our Article 5 package that will be dropped off at the U.S. Consulate in Guangzhou. We are now waiting on our Cable Letter from the National Visa Center that tells us that our case has been forwarded to the consulate. We are also waiting on our GUZ #, which is our new identification number that is needed to fill out one last form, the DS260. Once we have completed the DS260 and received our cable letter, we send those to our agency and they will drop off our Article 5 documents to the consulate. We will then wait two weeks for it to be picked up again (which means that it has been approved and that Paxton can receive a visa to travel to the U.S. to become a citizen). Once our Article 5 has been picked up by our agency rep in China, it is sent to the CCCWA in Beijing and we wait for travel approval (TA). TA usually comes anytime from 1 day after Article 5 Pick Up to 3 weeks after. We are PRAYING for a fast TA! Once we have TA, we can plan our travel and we hope to travel within two weeks of that! I am praying that we can travel in about 6 weeks from now.
