More China Pictures

Our sweet friends, the Fillebaums, sent us a USB of their China pictures and we sent them one of ours.  Eric was awesome about taking pictures the whole time, especially with his cell phone and his selfie stick!  I'm so thankful to have all of these!

Here are some more of our memories from China!

As I mentioned before, the Chinese are fascinated with blonde haired kids, so they often wanted pictures of Kyle.  On our first day in Nanjing, we were chased through the mall by some teenagers wanting to meet Kyle!  Kyle was completely overwhelmed and was not willing to take pictures with them, but Eric captured some shots of the paparazzi event!  The chasing and stalking was mostly in Nanjing.  People at the Great Wall stared and took pictures some, but not the way people in Nanjing did.  I guess white, blonde haired people are less common in Nanjing than they are in Beijing or Guangzhou.

I really loved these action shots of Connor and Kyle running through the orphanage!

On our last night in Nanjing, we went to dinner with Nancy at a restaurant at the top of one of the malls.  The food was great and the atmosphere was so much fun!  I am not sure if I have mentioned the giant lazy susan that were on many of the tables in China.  Family style meals were very normal, so the lazy susan made it easy for everyone to share and so much fun!

After dinner, we got a fresh squeezed orange juice out of a machine!!!  We saw these at a few places in China.  The machine is like a vending machine except that it is full of oranges.  You watch the oranges get squeezed and you then received a cup with fresh orange juice with a lid and straw!  I want these everywhere in America!

So, in true-Eric fashion, we had to get a selfie in front of the machine with our orange juice!

And, a selfie with our popsicles!  They had the best yogurt popsicles!

This is China...street vendors and food everywhere!

In Beijing, it is called Peking Duck and in Nanjing, it is called Nanjing Duck!

This just makes me laugh!

Brand new mamas (for the third time each)!  This was taken while we were in the supermarket (kind of like Wal-Mart) right after Gotcha Day.

Pig Truck!!  We saw several of these on the way to the orphanage.

These two are so cute!  They really had a good time together!  I cannot wait for a chance for us to all get together again!

And, when one had food, the other had to have food!

This was their first time meeting Ruby!  They all became fast friends!

It took Courtney and me a LONG time at the pearl market!  We had a lot to buy!  So, while we were waiting, Eric gave his phone to Connor and Kyle to play a new game.  We soon had to download the game to Jeremy's phone and Eric became Connor's new BFF!

I just love these two!  We had such a great time with Eric and Courtney and we are so thankful that we were able to travel with them!  Can't wait to have a reunion...sooner than later, I hope!!

Thank you, Courtney and Eric, for the awesome pictures!  It was so much fun to re-live our two weeks in China as I went through these!
