The Rest of Christmas Day

We spent much of Christmas afternoon outside.  The weather was GORGEOUS and 80 degrees!  Connor received a real bow and arrow for Christmas and he took to it like he had been practicing archery his entire life!  He is really good!  Interestingly, he shoots left handed.  He writes right handed, but he bats in baseball left handed and apparently, he shoots archery left handed, too.

Kyle, also, received a bow and arrow, but his has a suction cup on the end!

Paxton had a good time playing in the water table that was full of rain water!  He was soaked when we went inside!

Jeremy and I shot a few, too.  Connor is so much better than me!

Silly Kyle...

And, this is how Kyle wore his shoes...

Our friends, the Forsythes, came over for Chistmas dinner.  The SEVEN kids ran around and played (well, six ran and around, one is 6 months old!).  And, the adults enjoyed a really nice dinner together!  10 months ago, the Forsythes moved to Missouri.  I was so sad for Annette to leave.  Thankfully, God led them back to Georgia a few weeks ago and we hope they are here to stay!  We are so thankful to have them home!

We celebrated Jesus' birthday with the Forsythes with a Happy Birthday cake!  The kids blew out the candles!

We had a wonderful Christmas!

Merry Christmas!!!!

"And the angel said to them, 'Fear not, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. And this will be a sign for you: you will find a baby wrapped in swaddling cloths and lying in a manger.'  And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying,
'Glory to God in the highest,
and on earth peace among those with whom he is pleased!'"

Merry Christmas from the White House!!!

On Wednesday, we headed to Atlanta to go to the White Family Christmas with Jeremy's Dad's side of the family.  Jeremy's cousins, Carlton and Donna, hosted everyone at their house for dinner.  We all had a great time seeing everyone and everyone was so sweet to our boys!  Their dog, Charlie, made Connor and Paxton nervous, but Kyle warmed up to him very quickly!  We do not get to see this part of the family often, but we have such a great time getting together every Christmas.  I am so thankful that we get to start off Christmas every year with this family get together.

On Thursday morning, we met Uncle Steve at Cracker Barrel for breakfast.  Paxton and Millie spent a little time in Mimi and Bobbles laps!

When we got home on Thursday afternoon, we made a giant Christmas Tree cookie that Jane Anne had given to us.  We decorated it after going to the Christmas Eve Service at church.

On Christmas morning (this morning), Kyle woke up first a little after 7:00.  I told him to play quietly until his brothers woke up.  Connor and Kyle came back to our room around 7:40 ready to go downstairs.  Unfortunately, Paxton wasn't awake yet.  After a busy 23rd and 24th, he was exhausted.  We woke him up at 8:30, so that we could all go downstairs!

These pictures are not great, but I just love the excitement on their faces as they come into the room!

Paxton doesn't know what to think!

Look at that smile!

Connor has used my old digital camera for a couple of years now, but it is in bad shape (it was when he started using it which is why I wanted a new one).  So, we decided to get him a new camera.  He loves it so far!

I asked Paxton's physical therapist if a mini trampoline would be good and she thought it would be great for him, so he got a mini trampoline!  He can't jump yet, but he loves it!

Connor's pictures of our morning:

This Christmas is a extra special since it is Paxton's first Christmas home.  A year ago Wednesday (the 23rd), our home study was finally finalized and overnighted with our I-800A to USCIS.  We were hoping and praying that we would be home or at least be travelling by Christmas 2015.  Little did we know that we would be home for a full five months with our precious, amazing, brave son!  We are so blessed by him and so thankful to have all three of our sons!  They are the best gifts we have every received!

Merry Christmas!  We hope you have a wonderful day celebrating the birth of our Savior!
