Physical Therapy

I have posted pictures from speech therapy several times, but I have not had a chance to take any pictures of physical therapy because I am not in the room with him during it.  The first couple of months of PT, I would stay with him, but as he got more comfortable with Mrs. Donna, we thought it was best for him to do it without me (I was a distraction).  He does a great job with her and he loves PT!  She normally comes to our house, but this week, we met at the local park.

So much of his physical therapy needs were because he had spent the first year of his life in a crib without the opportunity to build up muscle strength.  He was considered low tone.  When we adopted him, he flopped over from sitting position so easily.  And, he was only army crawling.  He just needed opportunity to be able to thrive, but a little bit of PT helped him to catch up a little faster.  He is now right about on target for his age.  He has only been having PT every other week since January and Donna will only see him once in May and probably once in June before discharging him.  We are so proud of how far he has come this year!  He just needed a family, brothers, and opportunity!

We sure have loved Mrs. Donna and all of the help she has given him this year!  We are so thankful for her!  Paxton especially enjoyed today's session at his favorite place!

Kyle didn't mind today's session either!  He got a trip to the park out of it!
