Thomson Football

On Friday, Jeremy headed out with Connor and Kyle to take them camping for the night and Paxton and I headed to Thomson with my parents to go to the Thomson High School football game.  My cousin Jane Anne's husband is the head coach and their son Mills is the starting quarterback.  We went early so that we could go to the "Dog Walk" where the kids walk to the stadium from the buses with the fans, band, and cheerleaders cheering for them.

After the Dog Walk, we went to dinner and then headed back to the game.  Paxton was nervous at the game because it was loud and crowded.  It was a sell-out crowd for both teams because they were playing a huge rival, but as long as Granddaddy carried him and as long as he was sitting in my lap during the game, he was fine.  It was a close game until the end, but Thomson won 20-7 making them the Region Champs.  They are undefeated so far in the regular season and have one regular season game left next week before heading into the playoffs.  I told Paxton that the only time he can say "Go Dogs" is at a Thomson Football game!
